Pennycress Photography- The New Studio in Wymondham is Born!

Jul 14, 2014 | In the Studio

People have been asking for this post for a few months so I thought it was about time I pulled my finger out!

Previously, my studio was within Ketteringham Hall, and whilst it was very grand and the grounds were awesome (especially for our summer picnic events), once I fell pregnant with our Shrimp it was obvious that it was going to be far too expensive for a part time working Mummy. So we decided to think about a  new premises, we found this little gem and the rest they say, is history. There was a lot of hard work by some fantastic friends and family who donated their energy and time, and I now have my dream Newborn Portrait Studio!

He are the only “BEFORE” images I have, taken with the previous owners belongings still in, I cant believe I didnt take any of it empty and before work started -doh! It is a brick built garage on one side and a lean-to wooden workshop on the side….

I think it is safe to say it wasn’t a small  job and I am so incredibly grateful to the many people who gave up their time and worked so hard to make my dream come true.

The main renovations in all took about 5 weeks, even now there are a couple of finishing off bits to do and we had to get the windows replaced as they were leaking on the new plaster!  But here it is… my own little newborn studio, toasty and warm, cosy and relaxing with everything myself and my customers need on hand. Plus during the week when I am not working it is a great space for play dates and coffee with friends! I am such a lucky lucky lady 🙂 x
