This is a little post to ask for your help, in a very small but valuable way….please read on and help if you are able. I will also offer a free digital file to any client who brings in a donation of nappies (any size)& wipes.

The Norwich Foodbank desperately requires the following items:

In the Campaign to End Child Poverty report, published in February 2013, Norwich is named as the authority with the highest percentage of children in poverty in the East of England; this report also shows that Norwich is in the top 5% of authorities in the UK for child poverty.

In the 12 months ended 31st March 2015, Norwich foodbank provided 8,905 (5,833 adults and 3,072 children) local people in crisis with three days’ worth of food via introductions from over 80 local care agencies.  They rely totally on generous donations from local people and organisations.

The Norwich Foodbank gives three days of emergency food to individuals and families in crisis. Local care professionals in the Norwich area refer people to the foodbank using a voucher. The clients exchange their voucher for food supplies, here they also receive a hot drink, a listening ear and signposting to other professionals who can help them out of their crisis. In rural areas they have Emergency Food Boxes, or give boxes directly to local care-workers.
